Your Xumo Stream Box from Spectrum comes with a voice remote that lets you navigate your device, open apps and find entertainment. When using the Spectrum TV App, you can also use your remote to change channels, pause and rewind live TV, record your favorite shows and more.
Tip: Looking for a live game? Press and hold the Voice Control button on your Xumo Stream Box remote and say "Where's my game?" to find live sports events.

Before you begin
To use the remote shortcuts in this article, open the Spectrum TV App from the Xumo home screen by selecting one of the following options:
- The Currently Playing tile
- The Spectrum TV App in the Apps row
Once you're in the Spectrum TV App, use the shortcuts below to quickly navigate and control what you're watching.
Note: The remote shortcuts in this article only work while you're using the Spectrum TV App. They won't work from the Xumo home screen.
Navigate the Spectrum TV App with your remote
Use the navigation pad and OK button on your Xumo Stream Box voice remote to explore the Spectrum TV App, browse content and select what you'd like to watch.
Depending on where you are in the app, the Up, Down, Left, Right and OK buttons may perform different actions. Here's how to use those buttons while watching Spectrum TV.
Return to the Spectrum TV App home screen
While watching live TV, you can return to the Spectrum TV App home screen to browse:

The Spectrum TV App home screen is different from the Xumo home screen. To leave the Spectrum TV App and return to the Xumo home screen, press the Home button on your remote.
Change the channel
Your Xumo Stream Box voice remote doesn't have dedicated Channel Up or Channel Down buttons. Instead, you can use the Spectrum TV App's guide or enter a channel number to change channels.

You can also tune directly to a channel by entering its channel number with your Xumo Stream Box voice remote.

Find recently watched content
While watching live TV in the Spectrum TV App, press Down on your remote's navigation pad to view the previous channel and your recently watched shows.

While watching live TV in the Spectrum TV App, press Up on your remote's navigation pad to open additional options for the program you're watching.

Closed captioning displays spoken dialogue and other audio information from supported programs as text on your screen.

Pause, rewind, fast-forward and return to live TV
Pause live TV, rewind something you missed or fast-forward through the available live TV buffer.
You can pause live TV for up to 30 minutes. After that, playback automatically resumes.

When you're finished
To return to the Xumo home screen, press the Home button on your Xumo Voice Remote.
From the Xumo home screen, you can browse streaming apps, explore recommendations and find more entertainment.
